Our Story
The sisterhood of Alpha Phi stretches from coast to coast through 170 collegiate campuses and more than 200,000 members. Sisters share a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to support one another and their communities. Alpha Phis are leaders, scholars, contributors and lifetime members of a sisterhood that values these traits. Innovation
Alpha Phi values each member's passion for education, knowledge and achievement. Our founders were ten of the first twenty women admitted to Syracuse University in 1872. Alpha Phi awards $210,000 worth of merit based and needs-based scholarships to outstanding Alpha Phis each year. We are students first and as the Theta Eta chapter, we foster an environment to help our sisters acheive academic success. We provide information on utilizing campus resources for academic assistance, as well as book study rooms and create study groups. We strive to support each other academically throughout the school year to maintain an overall high GPA.
Sisterhood
Here at Alpha Phi, we are a sisterhood of strong and supportive women, welcoming you with open arms. Alpha Phi is a heart-to- heart talk with a sister, late night study sessions, a good laugh when you least expect it, a trip to the pumpkin patch, and a lifetime of memories. Not for years but for life!
Character
Building and upholding a strong character defines us at Alpha Phi. We value character development, striving towards building integrity and ultimately being the best versions of ourselves. We are strong, compassionate, and dedicated individuals. We push ourselves to be better. We are Alpha Phi.
Generosity
Giving back to the community in a positive way has always been important to us at Alpha Phi. Whether it be participating in blood drives during our Heart Health Week, visiting London retirement homes during the holiday season, or our annual Alpha Phi Day of Service, we are driven to do what we can for our community and beyond. Alpha Phi initiates numerous community service opportunities on and off campus!
